The Australian visitor’s visa (subclass 600) allows holders to travel to Australia for non-essential purposes such as tourism and certain business activities. This visa permits activities such as hiking, visiting friends, or sailing, but does not allow for work or medical treatment. Short courses may be taken with this visa, but for study purposes, it is recommended to apply for an Australian study visa.

This visa stream also allows people to visit Australia to meet family members, sponsored by a family member, for a period ranging from 3 to 12 months. During their stay, applicants can register and study for up to three months. Immigration may require the sponsor to pay a bond.

Tourist Stream

This visa stream enables people to visit Australia for tourism, holidays, or visiting family and friends. The visa duration can range from 3 to 12 months, but work is not permitted during the stay.

Family Stream Sponsored

This visa stream allows people to visit Australia for business purposes only. Applicants must be outside Australia when the application is submitted, and a decision has been made on the application. The visa may allow multiple entries into Australia as long as it remains valid.

Business Visitor Stream

This visa stream allows people to visit Australia for business purposes only. Applicants must be outside Australia when applying, and the decision is made on the application.
